Following a cost and qualitative procurement process, Cyngor Sir Powys County Council has recently appointed Michael Dyson Associates Limited to survey and report on the condition of their Non-Traditional Housing Stock. Stephen Bamford of Michael Dyson Associates Limited said “we are delighted to be appointed for this important commission and to have the opportunity to continue our long tradition of providing consultancy services to Social Housing Providers throughout Wales”.
Structural Survey of Non Traditional Housing Stock
Following a cost and qualitative procurement process, Cyngor Sir Powys County Council has recently appointed Michael Dyson Associates Limited to survey and report on the condition of their Non-Traditional Housing Stock. Stephen Bamford of Michael Dyson Associates Limited said “we are delighted to be appointed for this important commission and to have the opportunity to continue our long tradition of providing consultancy services to Social Housing Providers throughout Wales”.
The non-traditional properties have a significant impact on future business planning due to the assured life structural repair requirements; this survey will provide detailed information on the structural condition of these properties to allow production of detailed budgets and work programmes.
The properties comprise: Airey, BISF, Cornish, Engineered, Reema, Trusteel and Unity construction types located from Ystradgynlais in the South to Llanrhaedr y Machant in the North. Visual and intrusive survey methods shall be used to determine the condition of the properties in line with the Non Traditional Homes Appraisal Scheme, outputs shall align to the Welsh Housing Quality Standards.
