Resident Liaison
Michael Dyson Associates Ltd fully appreciates the importance of ensuring that the residents of properties being refurbished are kept well informed as to the nature of the work being carried out, the effects it will have on their daily lives and the likely progress of work. In our experience the active involvement of residents in the whole process brings real benefits such as community empowerment and awareness, security in knowledge and participation in the programming of access to properties.
On many schemes, we organise and chair resident open events and 'Information Bazaars' where residents can see a presentation on the proposed works and the impact this will have on them, beforehand, during and upon completion; this is usually followed by a question and answer session allowing residents to air their views and assuage their concerns. This process also informs the duties of the contractors’ RLOs/TLOs as the main issues are teased out and addressed. We can establish resident liaison officer roles for the client or the contractor to ensure the contractor/resident interface is as smooth as possible.
