Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments

Launched in December 2006 by the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG), the Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) is the single national standard covering the design and construction of new homes in England and Wales.

The Code sets out sustainable design principles in nine key performance areas:
