Nature of Work Undertaken

This project was introduced to Michael Dyson Associates Limited as part of a package of development sites that included a further 4 sites located in the Wirral. Our appointment for this development was through the Cutting Edge Framework.  The site was previously a 3 storey sheltered housing block that had been demolished approximately 12 months prior to our appointment. The site lies within a well established residential area with a mixture of public and private housing.

Our brief was to maximise the site to provide primarily 2 bed flats that will serve general needs.  The scheme was to form part of Wirral Partnership Homes targeted programme of 400 new build dwellings.  Following a thorough site analysis confirming site boundaries, underground services, access points and a study of local development plans a feasibility design was complete.  This generated a design of 32 x 2 bed flats within a 4 storey development.  The scheme was designed to meet Secured by Design, Lifetime Homes and Building for Life Silver award.

Our architectural services were novated to the contractor, Fawley Construction, under a JCT D&B Contract. 

We were further appointed to provide CDM Co-ordinator services. 

The scheme completed on programme and budget in November 2013.
