New Project Win

Michael Dyson Associates Ltd (MDA) is delighted to be continuing our appointment with Amplius, providing Employers Agent services in connection with the development of Katherine’s Garden in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. As well as Employers Agent services, MDA previously provided design services on the scheme including the provision of planning and tender stage designs.

The development site is a prominent location within the town and was formerly the home of Amplius’ offices and an adjoining retirement scheme.

The project comprises the demolition of all existing buildings and the design, construction, and handover of 39 new domestic dwellings together with site preparation, mains drainage, utility installations as well as associated external works and landscaping.

MDA and Amplius opted for a two-stage tender process to introduce a contractor to the project team at the earliest opportunity, to develop the design, provide input on buildability and develop a plan related to project logistics and mobilisation.

The stage one contractor tender process, which was conducted via the  CHIC Development DPS, has recently been concluded and MDA is in the process of agreeing the terms of the Pre-Construction Services Agreement with the successful contractor.

MDA is looking forward to continuing to develop our relationship with Amplius and the appointed contractor and hope to conclude the PCSA stage of the project in spring 2025.
