The Return of Our Annual Company Meeting

Last week we welcomed the return of our annual company meeting, following a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic.  The day began with a company update from our Managing Director, Alistair Dyson, confirming the healthy position of the business and thanking everyone for their hard work,  noting “working as a team has helped us get through the challenges over the last 2 years”.

Further presentations followed from our Directors – Andy Robinson, Michael Brown and Paul Tyrer and our Associate Director, Emma Taylor, which included the results of our recent staff survey and the announcement of new package of staff benefits.  Representatives of our operational and business development teams also provided the company with an insight into their teams, recent/current successful projects and future targets.

Guest speaker Nikki Pattinson provided a truly inspirational speech about how we present ourselves to the world which gave us all food for thought.

An afternoon #teambuilding exercise challenged our staff to build the best and most creative ramp using only a box, cardboard tubes, straws, Sellotape, paper clips and pens?!  The winner would be the team whose toy car travelled the furthest off the ramp combined with scores for design.  Team Tyrer (pictured) were the worthy winners and were rewarded with £20 shopping vouchers and more importantly those coveted winners’ medals.

The day ended with a presentation ceremony celebrating staff achievements over the last 12 months.

Thank you to all our speakers for their input during the day and congratulations to all our deserving award winners.  We very much look forward to doing it all again next year!
